Fingal Enterprise Week 2011 at The LINC

Tuesday 27th September saw the commencement of Fingal Enterprise Week 2011 here at The LINC. Fingal Enterprise Week is a series of major enterprise events, taking place in a variety of locations throughout the Fingal region.

The LINC sponsored a number of successful, well attended one on one mentoring sessions throughout the four days, which touched on a variety of areas of significant importance to both established businesses and Start-Up companies.

Tuesday 27th also saw The LINC host an open day, whereby budding entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs looking for new office space could come along and view The LINC’s facilities, enquire about the excellent Enterprise Supports and meet the companies who are already based in the Centre.

Each mentoring session was FREE of charge to businesses and start-ups located in the Fingal region.

The following is a summary of the Mentoring sessions hosted by The LINC:

Tuesday 27th of September

Mentor: Brian Honan, BH Consulting

Area: Brian Honan is recognised as an industry expert on information security providing consulting services to clients in various industry segments. His work also includes advising various Government security agencies and the European Commission on matters relating to information security.

Friday 30th of September

Mentor: Fredericka Sheppard, Voltedge

Area: Voltedge is a new HR Partnership business set up to provide innovative and business driven solutions for clients. The benefits of effective Human Resources can be felt right through any business. It is the stimulant that makes the difference to performance, to employee engagement, to the work environment and to how the business is viewed by its customers and its competitors. It is the most universal component across any organisation, in all industries and in all sectors, irrespective of size or business maturity.

Friday 30th of September

Mentor: Naoise Gordon

Area: Irish, UK and European qualified Patent Attorney with blue-chip in-house and private practice experience. Currently establishing own private practice in Ireland to service clients in Republic Of Ireland, United Kingdom and further afield.
